“Metal is a passion since I was 11 and since then, always a part of my life. Before starting New Model Label, when I was working at edel Italia as head of marketing and promotion, I had the chance to meet and work with some of the greatest artists in the world, some fo my heroes when I was a kid: Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Gamma Ray, Stratovarius, Corrosion Of Conformity, Paul Gilbert, Black Label Society, Iommi & Hughes, Marillion, Marty Friedman, John 5 and most of the greatest labels like Noise, Santuary, Eagle Rock, Mascot. It’s a great experience and now it’s time to give it back to the underground!”

Govind Khurana – founder of New Model Label

“I was shocked by goth rock at the age of 12 when I first listened to “Israel” by Siouxsie and the Banshees… Metal affected me few years later (at the age of 16) when I moved to Germany for a couple of years and where I sang in my first band ever. It was 1988 and as far as I can reacall  I never labelled myself  but for sure, I was an hybrid of what you can call a goth-metal girl. Of course I can consider myself experienced even in a different way than Govind is. But hey listen… I can’t say that James Hetfield is a close friend o’mine, but that I met him and pictured him??? hell yeah! There you go!”
